Knowing When to Renew Your ACP Membership Is Easier than ever! The Corporate Board moved ACP membership dues to a simple annual renewal system. As of 2015, all ACP members will renew each year on January 1st. For questions, please contact National Headquarters at (800) 445-4227 or email@example.com.
The Central AZ Chapter of ACP has been using “Constant Contact” for several months to publish key information such as meeting announcements, newsletters, meeting surveys, and special notices. While most members are receiving communications from Constant Contact, we have data showing not all members may actually be seeing them in email inboxes. One reason could be your company is perceiving it as spam or junk and you may not receive it. We have been communicating to members to check their spam and junk folders and also safe list the sender. Often times if members are not in attendance they do not hear the message to safe list or haven’t read it online. We will continue to use Constant Contact and I ask each of you to please add “Constant Contact” to your approved list so it doesn’t go to spam or junk folders. I hope this helps.
I’m sharing the below information to ensure members are aware of the next few months’ activities and highlighting some help needed.
We have seen a substantial decline in member attendance this year from June through October. The Board would like to ask each of you why you think this is? A few examples could be attributed to members not seeing the notices (see above to add Constant Contact); Work bandwidth not permitting; Summer vacation or work travel; Lack of interest in meeting content or topics, or other reasons. We’d like to hear from you so we can improve value to the members with what you want in monthly meetings. Please share your feedback with the Board of Directors. We may share the feedback (but not your name) with the membership.
November 3rdmeeting will be held at the AZ Humane Society 1521 W Dobbins in PHX. The topic is “Mock Disaster Exercises and Table Tops”.
This presentation is geared towards experienced professionals.
There will also be a chapter vote on the Articles of Association that were sent on 10/3.
The nominees for the 2017 Board will be presented and an opportunity for members in attendance to nominate additional candidates. Once the final ballot is confirmed it will be sent via email to vote by 11/18. New 2017 Board will be communicated to all members by 11/30.
Everyone is invited to meet for lunch after the meeting at Aunt Chilada’s (near 48th street and Baseline road). This is a non ACP sponsored lunch.
December 1st is our Membership Appreciation Luncheon from 11am – 1pm. Please mark your calendars so you are able to attend. We look forward to this every year where we all come together, enjoy lunch and have a little fun. A separate invite will be coming - please watch for it and RSVP earlyfor yourself and guests. This year we will be meeting at the Arizona Historical Society - Heritage Center 1300 N College Ave, Tempe, AZ. Lunch will be provided for members and guests are welcome to attend for $20. The group activity will be an informational scavenger hunt through the exhibits within the Historical Society. We will hold our regular 50/50 raffle PLUS a separate raffle with mystery bag prizes. Please join us!
AZ ACP is often invited to State or local events related to our industry and we post those events on our forums (website, newsletters and LinkedIn) however, we are not aware of all events. Our membership is so diverse across industries often there’s an event or conference open to public that we hear about after the fact or not at all. This is where you come in. If you hear about an industry related event and it is acceptable to share/invite others, please submit to the Board of Directors and we will publish the information to members. Thank you in advance for your open eyes and ears for continued learning.
This message was a little long and I appreciate you reading it. I wanted to ensure you are “in the know”. WE ARE ACP! Together we make a great chapter and all play a role in keeping us successful. Thank you.
